Toowoomba Ag Show

It has now been well over a decade since the Farm and Industrial Machinery Dealers Division of the MTA-Q teamed up with Toowoomba’s Royal Agricultural Society and the "Toowoomba Chronicle" to present the first Ag Show at the Toowoomba Showground.
That 1993 show proved to be of tremendous significance for everyone associated with rural industry in the south-east of the State – and ultimately beyond.
However, the newly-named event brought a completely different dimension to the concept of agricultural exhibitions. The organising committee represents a show which puts exhibitors’ interests in the top priority bracket, but still ensures that patrons are catered for in a comfortable, congenial atmosphere.
Over the three days in September each year, around 80,000 people from as far afield as North Queensland and interstate flocked to the Toowoomba Showgrounds to give the Ag Show a flying start.
One of the great milestones occurred in 1998 when with the support and assistance of the Farm and Industrial Machinery Division, it expanded onto the international scene with the establishment of a web site, making complete details of the event available to local, national and international visitors, plus information on events of local and State importance, tourism and travel.
The last event was held 5th, 6th and 7th September 2006. For more information go to www.agshow.com.au.
