MTA Institute of Technology

The MTA Institute of Technology began as a small operation in 1975 to providing basic business training courses for its members.  In 1997 with the deregulation of the vocational training market, the MTA Institute of Technology entered into vocational training of automotive traineeships and apprenticeships.  Since that time we have grown to become the largest provider of automotive vocational training in Queensland.

Today, the MTA Institute of Technology has over 1300 automotive apprentices and trainees across Queensland.  Most of these students are apprentice motor mechanics, auto electricians and motorcycle mechanics.  MTA Institute of Technology employs 26 trainers who are based from Cairns to the Gold Coast as well as west to Toowoomba and Emerald with their key responsibility belonging to the development and training of the apprentices.
