Small Business Entrepreneur Grants Program
Motor Trades Association of Queensland (MTA Queensland) encourages all new, small businesses in the automotive industry to apply for the Queensland Government’s Small Business Entrepreneur Grants Program.
The Program, offered by the Office of Small Business, is providing matched funds to newly started small businesses so they can access professional planning, coaching and training; critical to success in establishing a business.
Eligible businesses can apply for matched funding of up to $5,000 to engage a consultant or adviser to provide information around business, tax, computing, legal or financial (accounting) advice, mentoring/coaching, business and strategic planning, market research and marketing strategies, including branding strategies and social media/digital strategies.
Dr Brett Dale, Group CEO for MTA Queensland, encourages small business owners in the automotive industry to apply for a grant.
“The money offered by the Small Business Entrepreneur Grants Program could be instrumental in anchoring and growing a small business in the automotive industry. Businesses commenced within the last four years that have 20 or less employees are eligible.
“This is a great opportunity for Queensland, newly-formed, small, automotive businesses to secure a new website, commence an online presence on social media or start an online store. There are opportunities to expand brand recognition with marketing strategies or undertake important market research to create a future business model.”
Round 1 opened on 3 February and closes 3 March 2017.
Further rounds will open in July and December 2017.
